Mary + Peter were married on March 21st at Calamigos Equestrian (great venue by the way!). I loved how fast the day went by, not only did I have a sweet time with Mary + Peter, but I was lucky enough to have Denise Bovee and Emily Ruth by my side. A few days prior Justin had sprained his ankle so I was anxious to find an awesome assistant and great second shooter so he wouldn't have to work, I was thankful these girls stepped up to the plate and did quite an amazing job!
We started the day off at a nearby hotel for a short and sweet tea ceremony. Then we headed to the Downtown area of Burbank to snag a few quick portraits before we headed over to the venue for their wedding ceremony.
I really liked the hair piece Mary wore that day, it was a flower decal made out of feathers and rhinestones.
My favorite shot of the day!
A sweet little moment of Peter with his groomsmen before the ceremony began.
Until Mary + Peter's wedding, I never really appreciated the symbolism that these next two images show, both are so similar, but so different in significance. See if you catch my drift:
Dad walking bride down the aisle...
Husband walking bride away from the aisle.
...And everything in between.
These next two images show one of my favorite moments that I've captured at a wedding reception, as Peter + Mary made their grand entrance Peter immediately welcomed his bride with a song, "I Do" by 98 Degrees, and he did a flippin' good job too! I had no idea that Peter had this trick up his sleeve and neither did the rest of the room, it was great!
Please forgive this last image. 1. I was using a crazy wide lens and 2. it was the end of a fun long day and I think it shows. Anyway, posting it seemed like a must! Left to right: Emily Ruth, Mary, Me, Peter, and Denis Bovee.
Click here to see more of Mary + Peter's wedding. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Lee! Also, thank you to Betty Lang of Vanda Events for coordinating the day so beautifully!

Jason + Kelly were married on March 7th in Newport Beach at the LDS Temple. This wedding was super fun, mainly because Jason + Kelly are some of the coolest peeps ever and just happen to be super good friends of ours (you can re-read the story of them by visiting their engagement session post). It was sort of weird because we worked all day, but it didn't feel like work because we were hanging out with some of our favorite friends! So glad Jason + Kelly not only invited us to be guests of the wedding day, but to capture it as well. It was a great day to say the least!
Love this shot of Kelly and her dad as he embraced her once she and Jason exited the temple.
Justin with some of his good college buddies.
Justin hopped in front of me to take a turn and I saw THIS:
My favorite shot of the day!
Before the reception, Jason + Kelly had a small ring ceremony, which is not typical for LDS weddings, but it was very sweet.
Don't forget to check out this slideshow I posted with more fun shots from Jason + Kelly's wedding!
Last, I wanted to post this shot of us with some of our closest friends:), love you Amber, Rich, Jr., and Kelly!

Austin + Jean were married on February 7th at the Occidental College in Los Angeles. This was an interesting day as it was a 100% forecast to rain the ENTIRE day. Not only were we praying for a break from the bad weather, but we heard that Austin's grandmother praying hard as well! Upon arriving to the Langham Hotel in Sierra Madre for prep photos the clouds parted and the sun shined on through...the day could not have been more gorgeous! See, prayers do get answered! Oddly and lucky enough, we had no rain until, literally, the minute the reception started and then it came down like cats and dogs!!!
While Justin attended to the men getting ready I found Jean waiting in her room and all beautified, thanks to talented make-up artist and hair-dresser extraordinaire Nicole DeAnne.
Jean was apparently excited:)
Austin played it cool...
Jean seriously makes for a gorgeous bride!
LOVE this shot by Justin!
The first glance.
My favorite shot of the day, simple, classic, elegant...
Second favorite, artistically shot by Justin.
Austin + Jean were the best to work with!!! We also had such a fun time hanging with them at the WPPI Convention a week later in Las Vegas! Click here to see their slideshow with more awesomeness from their wedding day!

Morgan + Jake were married on January 10th at the LDS Temple in Las Vegas. They found us through a mutual family friend that insisted they check us out and we are so glad that they did!!! We were especially looking forward to shooting a different temple than we have use to, it was a nice a change and break from the norm.
I'm sure Morgan + Jake's faces look familiar, you may recognize them from their engagement session we shot back in November. The wedding day was lovely and we had some extra time between the temple ceremony and reception so we used the Las Vegas surroundings to our advantage for some creative portraiture.
Be sure to click here to view their online slideshow, its a good one!:)

This was our last wedding post from 2008, what a great way to end the year! Sharon + Jonathan were married on December 6th, you may recall their sweet faces from the engagement session I posted a few months prior.
Sharon and her lovely bridesmaids had their beautiful hair and make-up done by the ever so talented Nicole DeAnne. I am always so pleased with Nicole's work, especially to watch it last throughout the whole day and still look as fresh as it did when the day began.
For Sharon and Jonathan's portraits we had originally planned on going to a secondary location, but we arrived and found this amazing church made out of rad concrete walls, we decided to stay at the church and I am super pleased with how everything turned out.
My favorite shot of the day!
The Korean Tea Ceremony, I love the outfits!
Don't forget to view their online slideshow by clicking here!

oooohh! I saw that Kanye glasses ring shot at your house and was waiting for the final product. So rad! I totally would have done it differently though...and it would've sucked my way. Was that real grass? Did you feel it with your hands? It looks nice. I saw a lawn that looked like that once and I touched it, but fainted soon after from exposure to unknown grass origin. You too?
