Wow, I can hardly contain myself!!! Justin & I have been itching for a few months now to show off these images we shot for Nancy from So Happi Together and Melissa from The Loveliest Day. We had to keep the photos on hush-hush until they were submitted and published in the Southern Weddings Magazine. Now I'm SO excited that the day has finally come to feature this amazing concept shoot on our blog!!!
The concept was put together by Nancy and Melissa, they named it Woven & Spun. Here are the featured spreads, plus some of my personal favorites that didn't quite make the cut for the final print.
Thank you to the lovely Southern Weddings Magazine ladies for the sweet feature! We feel honored, to say the least!

Shirley + Sam are beautiful together, enough said! Plus, they got married at one of my favorite venues in Sierra Madre called the Villa Del Sol d'Oro (you'll see why when you spot the raddest tree I've ever laid eyes on). August 21st, 2010 was a sweet day!

Sam took it upon himself to make sure Shirley had her "something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue". Look what he gave her for her "something blue", lol!

@Hilary - i got the dress at a small boutique in Pasadena called "The Ivory Suite." I think the designer is Tamara... but I can be wrong. sorry i can't be more help!

Lauryn + Jimmy were married on August 14th, 2010. The day started off at one of my favorite hotels in LA called the SLS Hotel! I had the talented Denise Bovee by my side as a second shooter and Nick Radford as an assistant that day. Lauryn + Jimmy's wedding was full of so much eye candy that I almost had a creative overload. That's definitely a GOOD problem to have!

Melissa + Eddie....happy sighhhhhhh, what a good looking couple!!! They were married on July 31st. On top of enjoying the personality and beauty of Melissa + Eddie together, I adored the details, colors & vendors of this day!
Since Justin was away, busy producing his first feature film Ben Banks, I was graced by the presence of Erin from He And She Photography as my second shooter and Jen from Jen Lauren Grant Photography as my assistant.
I absolutely LOVED the way Nicole DeAnne did Melissa's hair & make-up!
My Favorite shot of the day! Melissa & Eddie held their reception at the Red Horse Barn in Huntington Beach, so of course we utilized the surroundings!
My favorite item of the day...the family tree! Thank you to Jesi Haack and crew for coordinating the day so well!
Since Melissa + Eddie met while salsa dancing, they had a dance teacher come out and teach the guests a few salsa moves!
I could laugh ALL day long at this cake cutting/shoving series! The first photo with Eddie's expression while he "lovingly" shoves cake into his bride's face is priceless! Don't fret though, Melissa gets her shot right after! Soooo funny!

Justin and I had never shot in Monterey (Northern California) until Emily + Drew's wedding. So upon arrival, we were hit with and explosion of ideas and creativity. It's always great to shoot in new locations with fresh settings! I always tell my clients that if Justin and I could shoot in a new place every time we would be so happy!
I promise, that's a real bird...no PS tricks here...I don't believe in doing that;)
Emily + Drew's wedding took place on July 17th at the Intercontinental Hotel in Cannery Row. Gorgeous venue, gorgeous couple, gorgeous day!
