Ever since the crazy fires that broke out a few months ago near our home we have been eyeing the burned areas and thought they might make for a sweet backdrop for a photo shoot. Also, my fabulous sister Nicole DeAnne has been nudging me to schedule a fun little session with her and her husband, so we thought we would put those burned areas to use before the green started to grow back.
Many of our followers may recognize Nicole DeAnne because we feature her quite frequently on the blog. She has worked with about 75% of our brides making them look uber fabulous with her hair and make-up magic-ness! Let me just say how fun it is to have my sweet sister (and best friend) working with me in the wedding industry, we both have such a passion for weddings and enjoy every moment of making sure that everyone of our clients look the best that they can!
We wanted this shoot with Nicole DeAnne and Jeffrey to have a high fashion feel so we included a wide array of colors to contrast with the black burned background, we thought it turned out great!

A few weeks ago the Sloan family was in town for a visit and they asked us to shoot a few family portraits of them...we have been dying to do this since the arrival of their sweet little Paisley. The last time we took photos of the Sloan's was when Maddux was just a little baby, you can see those photos by visiting their website and going to their "about Sloan Photographers" section. I can't believe how time has flown by! I had Matt choose the location, they were staying in Anaheim close to Disneyland and found an entrance to the canal right off of the 57 freeway, Matt thought it would be the perfect place for the sitting.
Many of our readers may already know this, but Matt and Justin have been best friends for over 13 years! It is so fun see our families grow together and it's even more fun when we get to see eachother! We friggin' LOVE the Sloan family!

Yesterday Hudson grabbed Sloan and gave him a huge hug and then said, "Mom, take a picture of us with your big camera, pwweeeeaaassseeee!" This is a VERY RARE occasion! Hudson usually sees our camera and books it for the the opposite direction, so I took advantage!

A few weeks ago the beautiful Amber was sent my way by the lovely Leila of Be Inspired PR. We decided to shoot the pregnancy session at the Fullerton Arboretum. I personally enjoy shooting at this location, especially right at "golden hour" with the sun shining through the trees creating fun lens flare and awesome backlight. Amber really is one of my most beautiful pregnant women I have ever met and it shines through in her photos! Her hair and make-up was done by none other than the talented Nicole DeAnne.
My favorite shot of the day....I had to stop for a minute after I saw this photo...by far one of my most fav images of all time!
