We've been friends with the Bates family for quite sometime, in fact, some of you might remember the session I shot of Marianne with baby Tanner in her belly.When were just barely learning how to work a camera the Bates family let us shoot our first family portrait session with them way back in 2004 (man, I wish I had those images just laying around so I could blog them for everyone to see). We love the Bates family and are so thankful to call them friends. Justin and I met them when we first got married, in Pasadena. The friendship has grown since then and so have both of our families! Glad they still let me photograph them as the years pass by:).

Also, a special thanks to Jessica Claire for lending me a helping hand that day, you're a good friend:).

With Christmas fast approaching and the holiday season present, I've been cranking out family portrait sessions like a mad woman! Plus, I still have at least SIX more weddings to blog before the year is over!!!! So hold on to your seats, its going to be a crazy ride all the way through the new year!
I had a great afternoon working with the Crowder family. I was especially looking forward to the session since I've been long time friends with Jordan (the dad) since I was about 10 years old and I was also high school buddies with Kellie (the mom)! It really has been fun to watch Jordan and Kellie with their growing family. They were high school sweethearts and now they have two beautiful boys. I loved seeing how far we've all come since way back when!

Over Thanksgiving we went to Arizona to visit Justin's family and we had planned on shooting his lovely sister's family during our trip, unfortunately little Olivia came down with the stomach flu and it never happened. That following weekend Justin had to travel to Frisco in Texas to help with the Yo Gabba Gabba! Live show there. It just so happens that Justin's sister's family recently moved there. So Justin was able to do a family session for them after all. A huge thanks to our good friend Kyle Barnes for letting Justin borrow your equipment and for helping him out at the shoot!
Now onto the good stuff! For one, I'm absolutely obsessed with twiggy trees and for two, I'm ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with twiggy trees! You can imagine what fun I had editing these! Plus, Justin did an amazing job! I'm a little biased because the Abbotts are family and I am so glad be apart of them somehow!

Love, love, heart the Ellsworth family! First of all, Lyndzee is one of the most creative people I know, secondly, Roger is one of the most imaginative people I know, and thirdly, Charlie and Jet are some of the cutest and most stylish kids I know! Of course I was excited to take their family portraits, who wouldn't be?!

This is my cousin Sam, his bestie is Ryan, and his fiancee is Nikki....If you follow the hot-links you'll know his story! So excited that he will be marrying Nikki and I think their collective three daughters are adorable!! Congratulations on the engagement Sam + Nikki!
