Darlene + Jerrold were great to photograph! They had a good amount of chemistry, which always helps while we're shooting. We met up with them at the Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA, we had shot at this location before so we were determined to find a new approach. This is basically our mindset every time we walk into a new photo sitting, "how can we make this session unique to this couple?". I think we found what we were looking for and found an entirely different angle.

We looked around and found an amazing view of the Disney Concert Hall on top of a nearby parking garage.

Darlene + Jerrold specifically wanted some photos with graffiti artwork so we went on a mission to find some murals. After much driving around we lucked out in the art district!

Last, but CERTAINLY not least, my favorite shot of the day!!! Graffiti and all!!!!

Darlene + Jerrold will marry in May, I'm definitely looking forward to it!

I'm so stoked on this next wedding I can hardly stand it!!! You may recognize this rockin' couple from the engagement session we shot just a few weeks before their wedding.

Patrick + Irma were married on March 28th at the St. Andrew Church in Pasadena and had a ultra fabulous reception that followed at The Castle Green. This was one of those days that just kept getting better and better, not just in feeling, but visually too with style and class. It was a photographer's dream! Irma + Patrick's wedding will definitely go down in the books as one of our favorite weddings!

It all started off with a chandelier, a hand-made wedding dress (compliments to Irma's mother for her amazing craftmanship!), and Christian Dior shoes...
pi_wed001.jpg

pi_wed002.jpg

I want that chandelier! Love this prep image of Irma:)
pi_wed003.jpg

pi_wed004.jpg

pi_wed005.jpg

Patrick added a personal touch to his groom outfit with amazing slacks he made himself! Also, his shoes were the best I've seen on a groom, I might add!
pi_wed006.jpg

Second favorite shot of the day, by Justin!
pi_wed007.jpg

The lovely Irma had her hair and make-up done by...wait for it....Nicole DeAnne, of course!
pi_wed008.jpg

pi_wed009.jpg

pi_wed010.jpg

Since Justin sprained his ankle just a few weeks prior we had Roger Ellsworth and Jason Roger out to help us that day. This next shot was taken by THE ROG!
pi_wed011.jpg

pi_wed012.jpg

pi_wed013.jpg

pi_wed014.jpg

Man, oh man, it was a super tough call, but THIS IS my favorite shot of the day!!! Everyone just looks so hot!
pi_wed015.jpg

pi_wed016.jpg

Irma's mother also made all of the bridesmaids dress and hair-pieces...I know, her mom is reeeeeally talented!
pi_wed017.jpg

pi_wed028.jpg

The lady mariachi band was a great touch to the opening of the reception!
pi_wed029.jpg

pi_wed030.jpg

pi_wed031.jpg

This was a sweet and emotional moment when Irma + Patrick thanked each other and their parents for everything in life and help with the wedding.
pi_wed032.jpg

Recognize this guy??? Not only is he Patrick's father, but he's pretty famous too! Larry Winget, ladies and gentlemen! Check him out by clicking here!
pi_wed033.jpg

So, to top off the night, Irma changed into yet ANOTHER hand-made dress (made by her mother of course) to party in for the rest of the evening. She also switched her hair-piece to match with her lady friends.
pi_wed034.jpg

pi_wed035.jpg

And last, this post would not be complete without a snapshot of us with the amazing bride and groom!
pi_wed036.jpg
Please, oh please, click here to view the rest of Patrick + Irma's day, I had a super hard time narrowing down the photos for this post so I included them in their slideshow.

Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Winget!

Mary + Peter were married on March 21st at Calamigos Equestrian (great venue by the way!). I loved how fast the day went by, not only did I have a sweet time with Mary + Peter, but I was lucky enough to have Denise Bovee and Emily Ruth by my side. A few days prior Justin had sprained his ankle so I was anxious to find an awesome assistant and great second shooter so he wouldn't have to work, I was thankful these girls stepped up to the plate and did quite an amazing job!

We started the day off at a nearby hotel for a short and sweet tea ceremony. Then we headed to the Downtown area of Burbank to snag a few quick portraits before we headed over to the venue for their wedding ceremony.

I really liked the hair piece Mary wore that day, it was a flower decal made out of feathers and rhinestones.

My favorite shot of the day!

A sweet little moment of Peter with his groomsmen before the ceremony began.

Until Mary + Peter's wedding, I never really appreciated the symbolism that these next two images show, both are so similar, but so different in significance. See if you catch my drift:

Dad walking bride down the aisle...
pmwed016.jpg

Husband walking bride away from the aisle.
...And everything in between.

These next two images show one of my favorite moments that I've captured at a wedding reception, as Peter + Mary made their grand entrance Peter immediately welcomed his bride with a song, "I Do" by 98 Degrees, and he did a flippin' good job too! I had no idea that Peter had this trick up his sleeve and neither did the rest of the room, it was great!

Please forgive this last image. 1. I was using a crazy wide lens and 2. it was the end of a fun long day and I think it shows. Anyway, posting it seemed like a must! Left to right: Emily Ruth, Mary, Me, Peter, and Denis Bovee.

Seeing those two images juxtaposed is kindof fascinating...I'm a pretty huge dork about weddings and I think those symbolic acts are pretty important - I'm going to have to try and shoot them the same the next time we're out :) Great, amazing, awesome set of photos as always.
