Soooo, I'm sure you all remember Matt + Wendy as they were the winners of the Wedding Photography Giveaway contest Justin and I posted last winter. I was so excited that Matt + Wendy won and felt that their story was very deserving of such a prize! Their wedding was lovely and I felt honored to be part of such a joyous occasion!
Okay, so one of my readers reminded me that I use to do a "favorite item of the day" and I totally forgot about it for some reason, so I'm starting that back up. Here's my favorite item of the day: Wendy's bouquet!
This ALMOST made it for my favorite shot of the day. I love watching little kiddos slow dance, so sweet!
At the end of the night, all the guests in attendance gave Matt + Wendy a big group hug just before they did their grand exit!
Matt + Wendy were married on July 10th in the LDS Redlands Temple.

Pat has been a long time friend of my little brother and Mary is first cousins with one of my old high school friends. It's always nice to photograph people with familiarity! I'm in love with this session because we spent the first half at one of my favorite vintage furniture/clothing stores in Downtown Fullerton called Out of Vogue (seriously, some amazing mid-century-modern stuff)!

Love these photos. They look kind of faded on some but it goes with the style of the engagement session. The location is also very simple but yet tells the story. They look great..

Awesome pics as ever Amelia. Your blog is a constant source of inspiration. Quick ques - when you shoot in places like vintage stores or other public places, do you go ahead of time to ask for permission or just ask permission on the day. I want to try out some hotels in my area but I'm not sure how to ask and if I should be offering them something in return. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks, Wani
