This is all insanely beautiful. I'm dumbfounded at how beautiful Nicole looked during the entire process. That is NOT normal, right? Wow what a beautiful mama. And Amelia- you captured such a sweetness in all of these. I took my breaths quietly as I moved on to each delicate and precious picture. They are all so lucky to call you family!

As a photographer and soon-to-be aunt to my sister's first baby, I completely melted more & more as I looked at each image. Every single one is filled with emotion and tells a story. Even the simple wall with the clock=brilliant. Your sister is stunning and Azure-----model baby! That dark hair and those lips! It's almost too much to soak in. She's so so perfect. I am a second year student from the university Charles Telfair Institute, found in Mauritius. I am actually doing my degree in Mass Communication and photography is among the streams of my course that I study. I am in point of fact specialising myself in photography. I love taking pictures but I am still an amateur concerning that. I only know the basics and i really want to get into it. I mean I want to build up my career and become a professional photographer. It is always a pleasure to view photography blogs and gather the knowledge and concepts of other great photographers, like you :) I deeply appreciate this particular concept of yours. Being a mother is I think 'the' best ever feeling of the world for a woman and your sister is surely happy with Azure's birth :) I really love the different exposures use for all the different pictures. Also the expression of the protagonist is the most essential aspect which defines the happiness that comes from her, and for you to capture that moment is epic. I would like to know if the source of light that was used was only daylight or flash was also used?

I love you amelia. there are a thousand reasons why, but for now I love because you are a freaking amazing photographer!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! Awesome idea Jill and Amelia you made it reality. My favorites are her sitting on the ground eating the gelato. I want to do that everytime I go to the store.

Was permission given to do this shoot before the grocery store was open? Was it a mom and pop grocery store? Reason I ask because all the big named grocery stores will not let you photograph in their stores because of their branding and marketing. Just like you couldn't decide to do a photo shoot in a target store because you would be on thier property photographing their brand (regardless of how little) for commercial purposes (Phtoo shoot for client). If you did this stealthy I am pretty impressed you got it done without being thrown out.

Her lipstick is amazing! I love it! The sullen little girl in the background- hilarious! I love the shot with the stacks of vegetables in the back- the color blocking is a fantastic backdrop! Same question Amelia, did you ask permission first before shooting in the grocery store? We've had a couple 'togs around here do TTD's in grocery stores and they never responded as to how they cleared it first. And they did it like in Albertson's. How'd ya do that? :)

Hi guys! Ok, so just thought I would let you know that I live in a very small town in Ontario, Canada. Every year we have what's called a trivia night. There's also an auction and it's just a bunch of fun for everyone. Every single penny that we raise at these events go to a specific cause that we choose. We just had our last Trivia night in February and we raised 40,000 for ALS!
